Its the day after Christmas and my 2 year (we've nicknamed him *the TV* because we watch him for entertainment) has been exhibiting his true self. He has wanted all the gifts he didn't get....well its not really the gifts he wants just *control* of them. So I have scolded him everytime he tries to whine or cry for a gift that isn't his. Everytime. I try to always discipline for selfishness and always reward for selflessness. Make all displays of selfishness counter productive.My theory is that if crying whining and pouting doesn't work for The TV he will eventually quit using those tactics.Seems to work pretty good. It took my husband several years to figure this one out when dealing with me. :-)
