Determine a vision for your children and then train them into it.
Yes our children have unique God given personalities. They have certain traits or tendencies. Of course we can be over bearing. We shouldnt be as domineering as the Jewish woman who starts referring to her 6 week old baby as *my son the doctor* or *my son the lawyer*. I think too much guidance and we can smother the very life out of a child. "Where there is no vision the people perish."
But certainly God has given us an incredible amount of influence to determine and direct our children's vocation, their religion, political preference, character, world view. We have the power to shape and mold the very heart of another human and guess what is so very exciting about that? *As arrows in the hand of a mighty man so are children of the youth....*
If we do it right and we instill within them a vision for His kingdom and then they allow grace to permeate their lives then we will be bearing precious fruit for years and years to come!*Thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations. Is 58:12*
Now that is almost shout-worthy!!!
